Focusing the Eyepiece


Turn the eyepiece counterclockwise 
until the circle in the center of the field 
is blurred.  Then turn the eyepiece 
clockwise until the circle just comes into 
sharp focus.  The measuring scales are 
visible in the top half of the field and 
these should also be in sharp focus now.

Some models have a lever just below
the eyepiece which removes the scale
from view.
